Mexico - Mujeres Mazateca
Varietal: Typica, Mundo Novo, Bourbon
The Mujeres Mazateca coffees come from a selection of 74 female producers across the Sierra Mazateca in Southern Mexico. These women are each individual producers, who sell separately to Red Beetle Coffee Lab, who combine their coffees for export.
Small seasonal yields are a continual problem in the Sierra Mazateca, as old trees produce nominal cherry for harvest. Because of this, yields that are brought for sale to Red Beetle fluctuate massively, but are all overwhelmingly stark volumes.
The volumes brought to Red Beetle from these female producers start from as little as 2.4kg for an entire season.
Increasing profitability is a vital next step, which in its simplest form begins with a combination of increased productivity, paired with increased profitability.
These women are not a formerly recognised group. Instead, the Mujeres Mazateca lot is Red Beetle’s way of celebrating the harvests of some of the underrepresented and under-resourced female producers of this very remote part of Oaxaca.
By buying this coffee, you're both supporting our business as we move towards greater productivity and efficiency, and providing valuable support to these coffee growers.

Well-balanced and quite a delicate flavour burst. It isn't as much an epic coffee, but more a classic mellower and distinctly enjoyable coffee with an extremely comforting taste. When you just want to chill, this coffee takes you there in an instant. Very nice roast.
I like it, great aroma and the flavours are lovely. I could tell you but I recommend you buy some and try it yourself.
