Context
Grown on the Finca Toño farm, this honey process coffee is another offering from our friends at Aguilera Brothers in Costa Rica.
This Arabica coffee was grown at 1,500 metres above sea level in Los Robles de Naranjo, Alajuela in Costa Rica's West Valley.
Aguilera Brothers have become established as a coffee-growing dynasty in Costa Rica's West Valley, with 12 siblings growing coffee there for more than six decades. For the last two decades they have focused on specialty coffee.
Between them the family produce more than 35 varieties of coffee, all processed using various methods at the family's own micro-mill.
The Villa Sarchi is a mutation of the Bourbon variety, which was discovered in Costa Rica and is rarely seen outside the country.
