The This lot was produced by Fikadu Lege, on his family’s farm in the Adado village of Yirgacheffe. Harvest took place between October 2023 and January 2024, and was processed at the Adado village drying station.
Fikadu is a third generation farmer who inherited his farm from his parents and has spent over 10 years cultivating coffee on this land. Alongside coffee, Fikadu also grows bananas, false bananas, and avocados, but whereas these plants act as a source of food, coffee is a cash crop that is a source of income for Fikadu and his family.
During processing, cherries were hand sorted, then dried on raised African beds. Because these beds are outdoors, weather conditions were carefully monitored, and drying cherries were covered overnight and during rain or intense midday sun. This lot of cherries took between 15 and 18 days to be dried to satisfaction.
Following this, the dried cherries were hulled and then sorted into grades.

Wonderful coffee, best ratio for a drip filter is 1:16 coffee

A creamy caramel tasting sensational coffee. Recommended by Mark on our visitation to his most excellent roastery last week.
Basically it's a fantastic coffee that needs to be tried by all. Writing doesn't do it justice. Just try it for yourselves, that's the best way of putting it and being honest and getting real at the same time.
