Today we're sharing the story of Faith, a Kenyan coffee farmer who is facing big challenges after thieves stole about half her coffee harvest, leaving her with far less than usual to sell.

Wanjuki Estates is a collective of 11 Kenyan farms in Kirinyaga, Mt Kenya region. Mark and Jean met the farmers and toured some of their farms during their recent visit to Kenya, in a trip organised by Sucafina. Like many farmers across the world, they are having to diversify to keep their businesses financially sustainable.

Producing great quality coffee isn't complete when the beans have been grown and dried. There's a whole further stage where the beans must be graded, sorting them by quality to ensure that only the best beans end up in your specialty coffee.

Mark and Jean found out more about these processes during their visit to Kipkelion Coffee Mill in Kenya.
