Has your inbox been filling up in recent days with Black Friday offers? Ours definitely have. Maybe you've been wondering why you can't find any Black Friday deals here on our website so we thought we'd explain why we don't 'do' days like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Here goes...

Put simply, we believe in giving everyone - our customers, our suppliers and ourselves - a fair price all the time, not just on certain days.

We believe that if a product is worth having, it's worth paying fairly for. We're so surrounded by big companies offering what look like unbelievably-low prices for a whole host of goods now that it's easy to expect to be able to buy everything really cheaply and to expect big discounts. Sadly, it's also all too easy to forget that, very often, the low prices we can choose to pay for goods can come at a costly price for people in the supply chain.

As an ethical coffee roaster, we believe in making sure that everyone involved in bringing your coffee to you receives fair pay for their work. After all, we all have bills to pay and families to feed.

As a small business we don't have the buying power that some of the big companies use to their advantage when it comes to pricing. We also don't have the economies of scale that enable big retailers to make losses on Black Friday mega deal products that are offset by knock-on sales.

We do like to reward our customers for their support and loyalty by offering the occasional special offer, though. So you won't find any huge Black Friday deals here but you can pick up some great deals on your Christmas shopping, from the final to days of our 10% discount on our Christmas Box and Decaf Christmas Box, to free coffee with each brewing equipment purchase and a 10% discount when you buy two handmade cups.
